School Swimming Programs

Splash’s offers a practical learn to swim and water safety program to local schools that is professionally delivered by our Nationally Accredited qualified teachers

Our school swimming lessons are carefully planned to meet the requirements of each student at specific learning levels. We maximise learning time through mass practice activities rather than one-at-a-time which guarantees a minimum of 60% activity time in every lesson. Our teachers also provide individual feedback and skill progressions.

Social stories also support our culturally and linguistically diverse community

Social stories support parents, carers and educators and increase access and inclusion.

Victorian Water Safety Certificate Programs

The Victorian Water Safety Certificate is a Victorian Government initiative which describes specific competencies that should be achieved by the time students reach the end of primary school.

Achieving the VWSC provides children with:

Vital water safety skills that could help save their life or the lives of others
Essential preparation for secondary school camps, excursions and activities
Important skills to enjoy a range of aquatic activities and sports
Confidence to safely approach a variety of aquatic environments and activities

School and Early Childhood Education Swimming Programs

Splash’s Learn to Swim has been a leader in the aquatic education field for over 30 years. We offer learn to swim and water safety programs to local schools and early childhood education centres, professionally delivered by our nationally accredited qualified teacher

Kinder Water Safety Incursions

Splash’s Learn to Swim offers FREE Kinder Water Safety incursions for 4-year-old pre-school groups at kindergartens and early childhood education centres in our local area.

These interactive 30-minute sessions reinforce key water safety concepts including the importance of adult supervision, calling for help, swimming between the flags at the beach and staying safe in a variety of aquatic environments. We use songs, games, stories and conversation to teach these important concepts. The program aligns with VEYLDF units on Wellbeing and Community and incorporates resources and key messages from Kids Alive do the Five.

Primary Water Safety Incursions

Splash’s Primary Water Safety incursions reinforce and extend the concepts introduced in our Kinder Water Safety program and are offered to Foundation students at schools in our local community.

The program aligns with units in Health and Physical Education (VCAA) and Wellbeing and Community (VEYLDF) and incorporates resources and key messages from Kids Alive do the Five.
